Oh, the loot! This is very addictive and whenever you see an enemy fall, you will be rushing right over to see if they dropped anything good. If you and your teammates can work together, using your classes skills at the right time and sharing loot which is easier said than done you can make one epic and powerful team.
The first Borderlands still has a lot of charm and there is fun to be had here. However, to tell you the truth, Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre Sequel surpassed what this original game did so I would suggest you would probably be better jumping into one of those. Still, though, Borderlands is a very well made game and a game that is a lot of fun, especially if you can play with people you know.
Borderlands 2 is a first person shooter developed by Gearbox Software, and it's a game that's all about crazy guns and massive loot. This sequel contains all the great stylings of the original Borderlands game, but amps up the color and mayhem tenfold. Whether you're gearing up for a solo adventure or looking for the next best four-player cooperative shooter, Borderlands 2 is a surefire bet.
The game takes place on the alien planet of Pandora. A beautiful but dangerous planet, Pandora hosts a wide assortment of characters, enemies, and valuable loot. Across its various unique locations and settings, you'll encounter plenty of characters with quests to complete, resulting in a huge supply of fun objectives and adventures.
There's a good mixture of both classic shooter archetypes and fun and inventive character classes, so there's a great character choice for all kind of players. There's Axton, a super-powered soldier with a helpful turret. Alternatively, you can play as Maya, a powerhouse of telekinetic and supernatural power. Finally, the stealthiest of players will love Zer0, a cybernetic robot who is as silent as he is deadly.
Although the main focus of the game is to overthrow the villainous Handsome Jack and his mega-corporation Hyperion, you'll find plenty of fun side-missions and stories in between. Your quest for bigger and better guns and loot takes you to a wide variety of evocative and interesting locations, including deserts, swamps, ice lands, and more.
You can choose to venture by foot, but those looking to save time will likely make use of the various vehicles available. Taking a spin in the wickedly quick but hefty tank-like vehicles is tons of fun, and a quick way to see what each area has to offer. You won't be able to drive everywhere, but Borderlands 2 is often about reaching the action as quickly as possible.
As you bounce around Pandora's many areas seeking new quests and the promise of loot, your character will grow in level. These stat improvements apply to all of a single player's characters. Similarly to the original, completing the main story campaign unlocks "True Vault Hunter Mode", a New Game Plus which increases the difficulty of the game by making enemies stronger, accordingly improves the probability of finding rare and higher-quality items, and allows the player's character to reach level There is also an "Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode" that spawns more difficult enemies and further increases the probability of rare item drops.
New to Borderlands 2 are two additional characters available as downloadable content: Gaige the Mechromancer and Krieg the Psycho. The four player characters from the first game, Roland, Lilith, Brick, and Mordecai, return in the form of non-player characters that the new characters will encounter on Pandora, or in various missions. Other characters like the Guardian Angel and Claptrap return to aid the player during quests.
Characters from the first game such as Scooter the mechanic, Dr. Zed, Marcus the guns and ammo merchant, Mad Moxxi, and the insane archaeologist Patricia Tannis join new faces such as the cyborg Sir Hammerlock and Scooter's sister Ellie as quest giving characters. Setting Five years have passed since the events of Borderlands, when the four Vault Hunters, Roland, Mordecai, Lilith, and Brick were guided by a mysterious entity known as "The Guardian Angel" on the planet of Pandora to the Vault, a mysterious alien structure that was rumored to hold ancient and exotic technology and riches.
Instead, these Vault Hunters were confronted by an alien abomination known as "The Destroyer" inside the Vault. After defeating The Destroyer, a valuable mineral called "Eridium" started flourishing through Pandora's crust. Handsome Jack, the president of the Hyperion Corporation, secures this new resource and makes use of it to attempt to "bring peace" to the planet. Now, Handsome Jack rules over the inhabitants of Pandora with an iron fist from his massive satellite built in the shape of an "H", always visible in the sky in front of Pandora's moon.
The main differences from the first part are the greater emphasis on the plot component and the addition of a more advanced weapon editor with many possible modifications that open during the passage.
The weapon is divided into several types according to the manufacturer's factories: Dal - reduced recoil and the presence of a burst firing mode. Tediore - does not have additional horns, instead of reloading it must be thrown like a grenade at enemies to explode. Hyperion is the firm of the antagonist. A special feature is the increased accuracy in the course of firing.. Malivan - has the ability to impose special elemental debuffs on the enemy, be it freezing or poisoning.
Vladov is the fastest-firing weapon. Torrg - has a slow speed of flight of bullets, but they have explosive properties. Jacobs - huge damage but low ammo. Bandit - roomy magazines, but long reload time.
