Metal gear solid 3 secret codec frequencies

The radio is the codec used in all the great Metal Gear Solid games. The codec is one of the most important pieces of equipment that Snake has at his disposal. You use it for a great many things. I will go over everything it is used for and some different frequncies in this section.

When you select the radio button the codec menu comes up on the top screen is a picture of Snake crouched holding his finger up to his ear listening. On the bottom screen at the top is a series of three numbers then a ". There is a button on the left with an arrow pointing left and a button on the right with an arrow pointing right which is how you change the radio frequency to call the frequency or person you wish to contact.

All the frequencies listed I have personally gotten during gameplay so I KNOW they work and a couple of them i have gotten more than once. Fire Support Request: This is a request for fire support in the area you call in the request. It is a barrage of artillery fire raining down from the sky.

As soon as you call it in you need to immediately run to the other side of the map or area you're in to avoid being hit with any of the artilery shells. Once you interrogate this frequency out of an enemy you can use it anywhere during the game.

Last Edited: 18 May pm. Alert Call Off Request: The requests to call of alerts are kind of tricky to use because they only work during the evasion countdown. This mean you've already been spotted and had to run around without getting shot long enough to hide and stay hidden long enough for the Red Alert to countdown. Then when you call it in the reinforcements they sent don't pull back immediately and if you don't know this then you're right back in Alert Mode and don't have another frequency to use that's how my luck is anyway.

So be cautious when using these. The frequency only works once and they don't change during each play throughs and the guard and location you get it from doesn't change.

Healing Radio Frequency: The radio frequencies in this section are for healing any life loss or stamina loss. As soon as you put in the frequency it will begin playing songs from the Cold War era and whichever one of your meters are low, life or stamina, or both, it will immediately refill them.

While it will not heal you anymore after the first use you can still listen to the song as many times as you want. The frequencies are permanently stored in your contacts.

There are a bunch of different frequencies throughout the game and if you know some I left out, please, feel free to edit this wiki and add them. Additionally, the guard who shows signs of life in the corridor leading to Otacon's lab, can also be exorcised from photos. If the player calls Campbell during the Hind D fight, he will advise him to listen for the sound of the rotor blades to tell where the Hind is. If the game sound is set to mono, however, Campbell, Naomi and Mei Ling will express confusion that Snake doesn't own a stereo television.

Campbell, however, reassures Snake that he can still beat the Hind without the use of a stereo TV. The crane in the Blast Furnace can be damaged with either the Nikita or Stinger missiles, allowing for easier access to the other side. If the player goes out of bounds at the rear during the Mantis battle, it shows the door to the caves floating in the void.

While solid, the player cannot interact with it. The red light is also out of place from where it ends up. The player can "warp" back to the torture room by throwing grenades.
