Batman comics to download

At the start of the story, Batman confronts Bane and suffers a sever spinal injury that leaves him unable to continue fighting. He takes on an apprentice through the vigilante Azrael. However, Azrael proves to be violent and unpredictable, and Batman must get involved once again to restore his name. At least, that was the goal of visionary writer Neil Gaiman when he set out to write it in In classic Gaiman fashion, the narrative structure is disjointed with contradictory points of view, and the art of Andy Kubert takes influence from character designs from over the years.

The story surrounds the wake of Batman, which is held at a small bar in Gotham City. Heroes and villains arrive to pay their respects, and several of them give eulogies recounting their experiences with Batman and how he died.

Naturally, none of the stories line up, leaving the reader and the specter of Batman watching the wake perplexed. The end is where the story really resonates, though, and its an emotional moment that definitely rings of finality and strangely new beginnings.

Gaiman is a master storyteller, and he pulls out all the stops in this essential Batman work. However, few compare to the stunning work in Batman: Earth One. Geoff Johns has a stellar script and the art of Gary Frank is suitably moody and oppressive. Rather than being murdered by a random mugger in an alley, young Bruce Wayne is actually kidnapped and held for ransom.

It covers Wayne becoming Batman and the origins of several of his nemeses. Volume 2 picks up where the first leaves off and shows the development of the bat-mobile and more Batman villains.

Its a quintessential origin story that covers not just Batman, but the entire Batman canon. The New 52 arc of DC Comics was a huge shakeup in the world-building of their universe. It was also a great chance to start totally fresh after Flashpoint.

Scott Snyder was set to run the main Batman series, and his first foray into the character gave us one of the most iconic arcs of the entire lineup. The story is visceral and intimate all at once, and Scott Snyder perfectly encapsulates everything the character is about. One of the best things about Batman comics is the colorful cast of supervillains the caped crusader comes up against. There are also plenty of great offshoot villains like Killer Croc and the Mad Hatter.

With so many great and unique villains, no wonder Batman comics always feel fresh and unique. Thanks to the tech at his disposal and his cunning intellect, Batman has had some truly amazing cases in his time.

One of the most appealing things about Batman is his humanity. Yes, he has a high standard for ethics, but he makes mistakes too. His vigilante work is simultaneously moral responsibility, psychosis, and revenge. As a brooding character with a dark past, Batman's backstory inherently provides for some of the most interesting content in the pantheon of comic books.

This even reaches into cinema, with Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight taking on these characteristics to a tee. Even the Arkham games explore Batman's psyche, though the Batman comics are truly where the exploration of his methodology lies. We hope you like the items we recommend!
